5. Honda S2000
The Honda S2000 is a speedy car that goes from 0 to 60 mph in a whopping 5.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 150 mph and cranks out 240 hp thanks to its I-4 engine. All these qualities are packed into a vehicle with slick roadster design. This car’s performance is comparable to the 2000 Audi S4 which retails for a slightly higher price.
4. Acura Integra Type R
Acura’s Integra Type R is a powerful vehicle that zips from 0 to 60 in 6.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 143 mph, and boasts a respectable 195 hp from its engine. Integras are known for their sporty and fun-to-drive design. This made them incredibly popular with a wide variety of drivers. The 2000 model retailed for under $25,0000, and performed better than the 2000 Cadillac Seville STSi which retailed for double the price.

The mustang has been a pinnacle of sports car fun for decades and the 2000 GT was no exception. Powered by a 4.6l DOHC V8 with 260HP the light-weight pony car could hit 60mph in just 6.1 seconds and finish off the quarter mile in 14.2. With an MSRP of just $21,200, The Mustang GT packed a ton of fun in a reasonable price, making it one of the best selling sportscars in history.
1. Pontiac Trans AM WS6
Pontiacs fastest Trans AM ever featured a 5.7-liter (346ci) LS1 V8 cranking out 320 HP and 345 and was backed by a Borg-Warner six-speed manual transmission. Supplying air to the powerplant was a functional Ram Air system while exhaust exited through a dual exhaust with chrome tips. This beast blasted to 60 MPH in just 5.0 seconds and killed the quarte mile in 13.5 at 107mph. With a retail MSRP in 2000 of $32,090 the Pontiac Trans AM WS6 was one of the fastest cars for the money.
